Stay away from Jay Cutler?
I feel like any time a professional athlete dates (or marries) a pop or reality star, their game invariably takes a hit. Do you think Cutler’s marriage to Kristin Cavallari will have the same effect? Of course, there’s a chance they won’t even be married by the time the season starts, but assuming they are– would you de-value him or not?
I tend to agree with you. Whether it is Reggie Bush, Alex Rodriguez, Miles Austin, or Lamar Odom, I think athletes dating celebrities is a bright red flag. Dating models, or just hot civilians is great (see: Jeter), but dating a celebrity is a sign that the athlete is looking for attention, looking to expand their brand, all of which is a sign of distraction from their sport. So yes, I would stay away from Cutler in this year’s draft (if we have one).
